Default U.S. Immigration Policy

So Congress is passing a bill on immigration...

When I was in New York a while back, I took a trip to This little New Jersey island and this French immigrant put into perspective the point system that is being used in the aforementioned bill.

She told me:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

I guess she left out the part where we arrest, jail and deport them unless they're software designers that speak English fluently already.

It can be interpreted in many ways, lol.

Give me your tired, your poor software designers,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free and speak English,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me if they can work.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.

Besides, I'm not American.

Actually this bill makes it easier to immigrate to the US so long as you don't want to become a citizen. If it passes and is signed, people that don't seek citizenship get their visa, don't have to move out, and don't have to pay any fines.

Amnesty if you ask me.

I'm going to leave out my thoughts if it's good or bad, but I will say this: if that guy with TB that our border agents were supposed to look out for managed to drive across without any hassles, does it really matter if we have this bill passed or not? If we can't stop someone in particular from coming in, what's the point?

OBL could be living somewhere in the mid-west and we'd never know it.

The US's greatest asset is the fact every year, more and more people come here to increase the workforce.

Countries like Japan and China will have difficulties in 50 years because their labor force will not be able to sustain their growth. The age pyramid will invert, with more older people in the population than younger people to support them.

the US needs to not turn away immigrants, but welcome them and intergrate them properly if it wants to maintain its poisition as a global economic superpower.

It's not the meek who shall inherit the earth, Its those who are populating the earth. Fact is most industrial countries need immigrants from other countries because we are committing genocide on 1st and 2nd world children through abortion. Thats not a slam on women its just a fact.

As for American immigration most Americans welcome strangers to our country as long as they want to assimilate and share our ideals. Many of the people who come here don't want to assimilate and go though the LEGAL process. Thus this is why we want tougher enforcement on LEGAL immigration.

LEGAL immigrants are more than welcome.
ILLEGAL please go home. It's our Illegal immigrant problem that is out of hand and has so many American all stirred up recently.
